Dr. Jesuraja was born on February 14th, 1939 to a hard working couple in the small town of Athoor, Dindigul District, Tamilnadu in a family of 3 children. His elder brother died at a very young age due to an unspecified illness but their family grew in God's love and blessings. Unfortunately, he lost both his father and mother in his early teens. His sister and him were were barely brought up by their kith and kin but they both left their home to reside in a Christian school, where they were given food and shelter in return to their service at the parish Church.

Dr. Jesuraja soon left for Chennai to do his Bachelor of Arts in English at the Madras Christian College, Chennai, where he loaned some money from the Society of Jesus for his education. He then went on to finish his Master's Degree in English before being offered a job as a Lecturer of English in St.John's College, Palayamkottai in 1970.

Dr. Jesuraja met his wife L. Mary Kamala during his visit to his hometown around 1971 and they both fell in love and got married. Though she was from a family of wealthy landlord, her folks did not arrange for a proper marriage with all the blessings and they both got married in a humble ceremony in 1972. Though they didn't have a lot of wealth to start their life, they had a lot of love towards each other and started to live a model Christian life as a loving husband and wife in the town of Palayamkottai. They were soon blessed with a daughter and a son and they named them "Vasanthi" and "Mohan" in short.

Dr. Jesuraja served as a Professor of English from 1970 until 1999 during which time he won numerous awards and accolades for his superior command of the English language. He was a great scholar and a poet, both in Tamil and English and he wrote numerous books in English and Tamil in his lifetime. Though he didn't graduate with a formal Science degree, Dr. Jesuraja excelled in his understanding of how Science works . Hs famous book "Glimpses of the Divine" which was published in 1999, received him many accolades of national and international scholars due to his analogies drawn from Science for Christian faith and laced with the flavor of Eastern metaphysics.

Dr.Jesuraja, received a Doctorate degree from the International University of Contemporary Studies, Washington DC in the field of Philosophy in Literature in 1999. He was a great public speaker and his love for music knew no bounds. He was a trained scholar of Carnatic music and he self-taught himself about Western Music as well. He is considered as a legend in Christian Literary Music due to his composition of more than 500 songs in his lifetime with more than 20 Christian music albums released.
